Rashim Bhargava CZT likes to be known by her childhood nickname ‘Dolly’ once again, after five decades or so — just because her grandsons call her that now!
Vyaan means ‘the life-giving air circulating in the body’ and is a combination of her two grandsons’ names. ‘Vyaan Art’ is for them, for you, and for me! This whole idea of Vyaan Art started as a fun, totally unplanned thing — and how and when it became a platform to share and spread the creative joys of the Zentangle art form is difficult to pin down.
When Principal Rashim Bhargava of Army Public School No. 1, Roorkee, laid down her pen with deep contentment and pride after over two and a half decades of dedicated service, she never thought she would pick it up again — and that too, to teach tangling and create beautiful artworks.
Always a learner, she is more than happy to don a new hat now — that of a Certified Zentangle Teacher — combining both her passions, art and teaching, to spread the joy and creativity of the Zentangle Method that she has personally experienced.

Born and brought up in the multicultural city of Lucknow, she did her schooling at Loreto Convent, Lucknow.
- Education
Three universities, three degrees
A graduation from Lucknow University, a master’s degree in Geography from Allahabad University, and a master’s degree in Education from Meerut University.
- Design
A boutique of furnishings
For over three decades she successfully ran a boutique of furnishings at Roorkee, holding exhibitions in Delhi, Ghaziabad, Dehradun, Saharanpur and Haridwar — designing and fabricating in her own unique, creative style.

Rotary Club of Roorkee Midtown
She was the first lady to join the club, served it and society in various capacities, and had the privilege of being its President in the Silver Jubilee Year.

Vyaan Art is a venture by CZT Rashim Bhargava. She is Uttarakhand’s first Certified Zentangle Teacher and has done her certification from Conzentric Europe, Germany. Conzentric is authorised by Zentangle Incorporated, Rhode Island, USA to conduct the training programme.
